The service was great, the staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was wonderful. We tried the highly recommended Penny's Pie's, the Steak & Stilton and the Turkey, Ham and Cranberry. Both pies were outstanding and delicious, served with chips, veg and a jug of gravy. We’ll certainly come back if we find ourselves in Lerryn again.

We found this pub while on holiday in the village and felt very welcome, even though it’s popular with locals. The fire made the place cosy and warm, the service was very friendly, and there was a great choice of food and ales, including IPA's. We had fish pie and steak pie, and my partner said her steak pie was one of the best she’d ever had. A lovely find.

The roast was about average and arrived in a reasonable time after we ordered our drinks and meals. But after we finished, nobody came to see if we wanted another drink or dessert. We waited patiently for at least half an hour, then gave up, paid and left. We would have ordered more drinks and desserts, so that was their loss. It was the worst service I’ve had in a long time.

We were so glad to find this pub while on holiday. The staff were really nice and helpful, and the food was outstanding. All four of us chose different meals, including one vegetarian option, and nobody at our table had a complaint. Don’t take my word for it, go try it yourself. You’ll thank me.

We went for Saturday lunch to celebrate my father’s 93rd birthday, with three generations of our family there. It was warm and welcoming on a dull day, with friendly staff and delicious food. The homemade fish pie was the best I’ve ever had. We spent most of the afternoon chatting, and everyone felt relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommended.
