It’s a bargain at £60 a night, just minutes from the town centre and sights. The cottage sits tucked into the front garden of the owners’ house. It looks tiny from outside, but inside it’s spacious, with a high wooden ceiling. Clean, warm and welcoming, too. There’s a little shower room and kitchenette, and breakfast bits are left for you when you arrive. Nights are lovely and quiet, with no traffic noise to disturb you. There’s no TV, though you’ll probably be out sightseeing most of the time.

We’ve just arrived and already love this sweet little cabin. It’s clean and warm, tucked into a lovely garden, though you do need to climb stone steps to reach it. The centre is an easy walk, and there’s a nice pub nearby that serves good food. Felicity is approachable and keen to help. Bread, muesli, fruit, milk, butter and jam were provided for breakfast. The earlier comment about putting away the play school toys has been taken on board. And after our first night, an update: the futon is the most comfortable one I’ve slept on. We’d definitely come back.

We came for a wedding over the weekend and were really pleased with what the cabin had. It was clean, secure and quaint, with milk, bread, breakfast options and even nice coffee left for us. Sitting outside with our coffee and listening to the goings-on in Lewes was a real pleasure.

A real gem for our Lewes wedding trip. The ceremony was only a five-minute walk away, and the place was very good value. Shops, restaurants and pubs are a short stroll too. The room was spacious and private, with everything we needed.
