We’ve stayed at The Stables with our dogs twice now, and loved it both times. The apartments are well equipped and beautifully presented, with plenty of room to cook your own meals after long walks in the countryside. It’s a peaceful, relaxing setting that feels like a proper break from everyday life. There’s also room to unwind and spend time together with friends or family, so we’re already planning another visit with a few friends to show them the place. We’ll definitely be back.

The walks nearby are beautiful, and it’s lovely to come back to such comfortable surroundings afterwards. We found The Stables peaceful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The clean, spacious apartments are very well equipped, so settling in was easy. It’s a calm spot for switching off and enjoying the countryside. There’s enough space for a small group to socialise while still having cosy, private areas. We’d happily recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, quiet escape.

We first stayed in Eclipse in September 25, when it was a gorgeous building and a lovely place for a family celebration. The toilet in the main bathroom was leaking, so we told the cleaner as we left. We booked the same place again in January 26 for a 30th birthday, and the first time someone used that toilet on Friday, it leaked again. Water came through the ceiling and onto the sofa. We phoned the only number, tried again and left a voicemail, messaged through booking.com and emailed, but nobody replied. On Saturday evening, the heating and hot water stopped working in some of the properties. A gentleman brought heaters, but when we asked about the toilet, he said nobody had told him and still did nothing. My daughter was in Sea biscuit, which was nice until the heating went off. The rest of the family stayed in Farriers cottage, which was nice too. It’s a shame they never even acknowledged the leak. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back.

Brian, the maintenance guy, was really friendly and helpful, and gave us good parking suggestions for our visit to Richmond falls. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved the resident peacock 😂. Inside, the rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The milk left in the fridge was a nice extra. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and will definitely return.

We had a fantastic, quiet and comfortable stay with our dogs. The place is beautifully maintained, with plenty of great walks nearby. Check-in was easy and communication was excellent throughout. Just right for a relaxing escape, highly recommended.
