Milton House Studio Apartment Suites

We got a warm welcome and found the room clean. The bathroom was a comfortable size, though the room itself was quite compact. A small fridge kept the milk for breakfast, but it whirred through the night. We were there for one night while hiking the Inn’s Way. It’s a lovely building right by the Main Street. Breakfast was just a packaged croissant or small packet of cereal, which we expected since an optional breakfast for £15 per person was available at the Middle House restaurant down the road. Still, for the price compared with other places we stayed, breakfast included would have seemed fair.

Jo even rearranged her garage so we could park our motorbikes inside, now that’s service! We stayed in room 2, which is room only, but there was plenty of tea and coffee along with croissants, yogurts, Alpen and proper milk, a treat. The room and bathroom were clean and well equipped, and the bed was so comfy. There are a couple of pubs within easy walking distance, too. Fabulous B&B, thanks Jo & Bernie, 10/10.

Jo was so welcoming, and Mum and I really enjoyed staying at Milton House B&B. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The air fryer was excellent, it cooked the sausages and bacon perfectly. We’d definitely come again!

We stayed in the one-bedroom studio apartment at Milton House in Askrigg for my partner’s birthday. Jo made us a delicious homemade quiche, and the deluxe hamper gave us enough for two days of breakfasts and sandwiches for our walks. There are lovely walks right on the doorstep, easy off-street parking, and three pubs or restaurants for eating out. I’d definitely recommend this lovely place.
