Vera and her team are wonderful, and we had a perfect Christmas Day dinner here. It's one of our favourite pubs in the Dales, with the best lunches and dinners every day, all at superb value. A must if you're in the area.

We ate here three times during our holiday because it was the most welcoming pub we found. The food was superb and great value, the atmosphere was lovely, and every member of staff was friendly. Couldn't fault the place.

A cosy country pub with a lovely atmosphere shared by locals and visitors. The whole team were warm and friendly, and our evening meal was exceptional. We shared the steak with creamy mushroom sauce, and it was amaaazing. Definitely going back.

We made the most of the sun with a drink in the beer garden out back, or you can sit on the benches out front. It's a quirky, very dog-friendly pub, with great staff and excellent food. We had tempura prawns, thyme garlic and cheese bread, Portuguese fish pie, a burger and sticky toffee pudding, and everything was marvelous.

We only popped in for a quick pint after walking the dogs over the Easter bank holiday, but the welcome and atmosphere kept us there for hours. The pub's cosy and so friendly, and although I didn't catch the landlord's name, he was incredibly courteous. We regret not coming earlier to try the Portuguese-inspired menu. Couldn't recommend it more.
