Tennyson Court

Maud was very clean and had everything we needed. The gate entry and key collection instructions were clear. My mother found the stairs a bit difficult, but we managed; an extra handrail around the bend in the stairs could help.

The bed and sofa were comfortable, the shower was good, and the price suited our visit to family. We wanted an affordable place suitable for a child, rather than a hotel room or an overpriced little cottage, and this worked well. It was a bit worn in places, as used places often are. The one concern was the unlocked window in the single room in Maud: it opened wide enough for a child to open and fall out. We tied it securely ourselves, but it would be good to fix if the place is updated, for parents' peace of mind. Contact by phone was easy, and we didn't mind there being no one on site since there was plenty of emergency information. We'll be back soon and are looking forward to it.

The room seemed OK at first, though the bedside lamps were really dusty. The shower had body jets that looked promising, but once I got in they only trickled down the wall.

It's a secure two-bedroom place in a gated shared courtyard, just a short walk from central Lincoln. It's at the bottom of the hill, so there's a walk up, but it's worth it.
