The conservatory looks out over the horse paddock, and inside the pub feels quiet, cosy and traditional, with oak beams and an open fire. I had a lovely breakfast: it came out promptly, hot and full of flavour, with nicely crisp bacon and a large cafetière of decent coffee, about three cups. The server was friendly and handled front of house on her own brilliantly. She seemed to know the regulars well, which gave the place a welcoming feel. It’s only a few minutes from the broadband express way. I’ll definitely be back, highly recommended.

My friend and I make this our girls’ treat every fortnight, and we’ve never had a disappointing meal. There’s a massive choice whether you’re pescatarian, vegan or a meat eater. The portions are good, and everything is beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive.

The food was better than I expected, and there’s a wide choice of meals and drinks. I stopped in for lunch and had a really pleasant time. The staff were welcoming and efficient. I’ll definitely return.

The Brick Kilns managed to fit our party of 8 in after we’d been let down by another nearby place. We weren’t optimistic about finding somewhere at such short notice, so we were glad they had space after some calls around. The food was outstanding, all cooked fresh to order. I had the seabass with tiger prawns, the best I’ve had in a long while. The fish arrives from the fishmonger every morning, so it couldn’t be fresher. We waited about 15 minutes to be served, and everyone’s food came out at the same time. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and are already planning another visit.

There’s plenty of choice and the portions are generous, with very good food. Friendly servers add to the lovely atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely return.
