A pleasant, clean and quiet stay, with easy check-in and simple parking. The pub next door didn’t cause any noise. It’s around a 30-minute walk into town, or about £7 by taxi to the city centre. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was the single bed mattress. It dipped and I could feel the springs.

The doorbell camera at the entrance to the living room faces the hallway. We didn’t know whether it was on or what it was for, and it made us feel watched. On game day, lots of cars park in the area, and a burger van was outside our living room window. Luckily, the noise died down by midnight. We stayed in apartment 1 and didn’t have a great time. Several things we expected in self-catering accommodation were missing, including hand soap, a clothes rack, chopping knives and a bath mat. This apartment seems better suited to people spending a night or two in Liverpool near the football stadium who are happy to order takeaways.

A good rental place that’s managed well. I love it.

It was okay, but the electric heaters really need attention. Some are old and don’t work, others are hard to turn on, and a few are hanging off the wall or sitting on the floor.
