Boutique 56

The fire alarm went off and there was nobody on site to handle it. No fire brigade arrived. When we asked for help, we were told security was at another hotel dealing with a fire alarm there, but later staff contradicted that and said nobody is ever on site. We couldn't reach anyone for assistance, so we left to keep ourselves safe. This is a serious safety concern. Staff and management have been completely useless and offered no solution. We're demanding a full refund and our deposit back. Shocking experience, avoid this place.

After our last train to Blackpool was cancelled, my mate and I found a two-bed room at the last minute for £25 each. It was well worth it. The night staff guy explained everything clearly, and checkout in the morning was easy with the nice staff there. I don't know why some reviews are moaning. I'll keep this place in mind.

We stayed for my partner's 30th birthday and our third anniversary. The price was amazing, and they offered packages to decorate the room for us. Wow, we'll definitely come back.

The hotel is right among Liverpool's shops, pubs and restaurants, with the docks about a 10-minute walk away. It's a great location for the town centre. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and they switched on the air conditioning when the room got too hot. They warned us it was a little noisy, but it didn't keep any of us awake. We booked two nights for a short break. The place is beautiful, quirky and stylish, and our room was spacious, with two large, very comfortable beds, a big sofa and a large TV. We also had a jacuzzi bath and two great showers. My only complaint was the hard, lumpy pillows, though there were extras in the wardrobe and I picked out the best ones. We'll definitely return to Boutique 56.
