Delta Hotels by Marriott Liverpool City Centre

We paid £77 for the night, which felt like great value. The superior king room was huge and luxurious, with a really comfy sofa, though the bed was on the firm side. The hotel and room were lovely, and the Liverpool mural by Dave Draws near reception is fabulous and fits the place perfectly. The location is excellent and the staff were super friendly. There were no problems during our stay, and I’d happily recommend it and return. At night, you might want to close the curtains because of bright adverts. Some rooms may also hear street noise or bus station announcements, though it doesn’t affect every room and isn’t the hotel’s fault. Parking outside the hotel is £25, or Q Park is £16. If you register online before entering the St John’s car park, it’s £6.50 for the night, just across the road.

Our Superior King room had the usual amenities and an extra pull-out bed. The beds were warm and comfortable. The bathroom shower looked a little old, but was still nice, and I loved the bath jets. We didn’t try breakfast or the bar, though both looked good. There’s a gym as well. The hotel is close to Lime St, St Johns and the Cavern Qtr. It has entrances on both sides, a pleasant reception and friendly staff, with a Q Park right next door if you need it. I’d highly recommend it and stay again.

The room was modern, clean and comfortable, and excellent value for what I paid. The lobby had a lovely Christmas feel that made the place warm and welcoming as soon as I arrived. Breakfast cost far too much for what it was, so I went into the city and found better value. On-site parking is also horrifically expensive, so be prepared if you plan to park at the hotel. Even so, it’s a solid hotel in a great location, and I’d happily stay again.

The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us good tips on finding a proper British pub and somewhere to eat. Our room was lovely, and we slept really well. There are bars, restaurants and iconic venues close by, and Lime Street Railway Station is less than a five-minute walk away. We’ll be back.
