Dolby Hotel Liverpool

The rooms are basic, but very clean, with a good supply of tea and coffee. It was handy having a bar where we could get a reasonably priced drink, and there’s free parking too. The staff were incredible. At the budget end of the market, the Dolby was unbelievable value. I’ve already booked another stay.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and the shower room was tiny. My partner is 6ft 2, so had to turn sideways to use the toilet. We paid £87 for the room, which felt above the odds, though the free parking was a bonus in the city centre. It’s a budget hotel that did the job for one night, but we wouldn’t want to stay longer. We were there for a gig at the M and S Bank Arena, and the location is great for the docks, with most things within walking distance. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was basic but clean, with a kettle, cups, coffee sachets and milk. The TV worked fine and was easy to use. We had a room facing the main road, but the noise didn’t bother us; earplugs are provided if you want them. There are complimentary toiletries, though we brought our own. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but the bar prices were reasonable for a hotel.

The EV charger was easy to use and really convenient. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was great value. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and really accommodating when I had to change my plans. Superb.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, simply furnished and well served, with a great location overlooking a very tidy dock. The rooms are a little small, but functional, clean, and nicely decorated in a fresh style. There’s plenty of parking, and I’d highly recommend it.
