We had a great base for exploring Liverpool, and the central location was close to everything we needed. The bed was comfy, it was easy to find, and the video showing how to get there was great. The host communicated well. The place was clean apart from the mould and damp. We could barely hear the pub next door in the bedroom with the door shut, even though it was loud. In the living room, though, the pub noise was very noticeable. It wasn’t a problem for us because we were out a lot, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who needs to use the sofa bed or wants peace and quiet. We were originally booked elsewhere, but were told there were electrical problems with that booking and offered this apartment on Harrington street instead. It was freezing and took a while to warm up. The living room heater kept switching off. It didn’t seem to be because it had reached temperature, more like a socket issue, though we only realised on the last day. We’d have reported it if we’d noticed earlier. It might be worth checking the fuse. There was mould in the shower, damp in the living room, and the whole place smelled damp. A lot of water collected on all the window sills. The sofa was a sofa bed that had seen better days, extremely uncomfortable to sit on, and I definitely wouldn’t want to sleep on it. The shower door didn’t close properly either. It’s fab if you’re not fussy and want a cheap-ish, central base. Avoid it if you’re after luxury or quiet. I can’t fault the host’s communication or the location, and for the price I can’t really grumble.

This company is very incompetent. I arrived to find no WiFi, and I was stuck in the basement with no phone signal. After some back and forth, I got the refund I asked for. I was told I didn’t want the host coming down to the apartment, which felt like a threat. I’m still waiting for my deposit back. The company feels like a fraud. There are two different accounts linked to the payments, one for the deposit to bee hosting and another for payment to Savvy something, which seems dodgy. More fool me for sending the deposit by bank transfer. And let’s not even get into the card details they have on booking.com. Total rip-off, rubbish. Avoid!

Once you book, they tell you to send a deposit by bank transfer, but that information isn’t shared until after booking, when you can’t cancel. The apartment was very cold, the kitchen too basic to use, and I had to wash the cups and glasses before using them. The shower needs a thorough clean, the mould is intense. The location is good, but although they have strict quiet time rules, the apartment is above a very noisy bar that stays loud until 2 AM. Sean is rude and makes staying at the property really uncomfortable. Not a great experience.

The rudest host ever. The oven in the living room didn’t work, and the host couldn’t help us, so our whole stay was cold. He promised a refund, but it never came. The area felt sketchy: police were in the building when we arrived, and there was drug-related activity in the courtyard outside.

I ended up at these apartments for two nights after maintenance issues meant I couldn’t stay at the place I’d originally booked with Beehosting. Sean kept me updated about everything on Whatsapp, check-in went smoothly, and I was happy with the accommodation. It’s a convenient city-centre location. The one-bedroom apartment was just right, with clean bedding, fresh towels and a well-equipped kitchen. The heating worked really well and the WiFi was reliable. The smart TV let me use Netflix and Prime. I noticed the living room sofa converts into a sofa bed, which I didn’t need, but it’s useful to know if more people book in future.
