James made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast kept us happy, with plenty on the buffet and bacon sandwiches too. The chocolate treats alongside the tea and coffee were a lovely touch. Our room worked well for us and our two little dogs, and off street parking was handy. It's close to Formby beach by car, with a park, shops and a pub within walking distance. We'd like to come back soon.

The child friendly room mattered a lot to us, and we loved it. The beach is about a 30 minute walk away, with a local shop and chippie on the route. Brilliant location. We'd definitely recommend it and return.

We only needed a night on a quick visit, and it was a really enjoyable stay. The decor is old and the place is simple, but it was tidy and clean, and breakfast had lovely ingredients. The host was kind and ready to help with whatever we needed. :)

A quiet evening, a comfortable bed and a lovely host. One of the better places to stay in Formby, I reckon.
