The room was tidy, with clean bedding and towels, and for the price it was well kept. I only stayed one night. A couple of the bed slats were missing, though, so sitting at the end nearly sent me to the floor. Otherwise, it was worth the money. Thank you.

The staff were attentive whenever I got in touch, which I appreciated. The room itself was fine and cleanliness was okay, though not great. It’s a bit run down, and having just two toilets for the whole house could be difficult when it’s full. It’s around a two-mile walk to Anfield Stadium. We booked because the room was cheap and hardly anything else was available on the night of the LFC game, so it worked out. I probably wouldn’t book it again. You get what you pay for.

I had my three-year-old son with me, and at the very least we should have had a clean bed. The sheets and covers definitely hadn’t been changed after the previous guests. The room was freezing, and the cups by the kettle had cigarette ash in them. The bathroom was filthy and not fit for purpose, with half the bath hanging off; there was one toilet for seven bedrooms, and I couldn’t even shower in the morning after sleeping in that bed. Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t come back, and it wasn’t worth £5, let alone anything else. Never again.

I’ve just watched a review on YouTube mentioning dirty sheets and towels, bed bugs, used tissues under the bed, and a place that wasn’t clean. What’s your place like?
