Maldron Hotel Liverpool City

The evening meal was excellent, tasty and good quality, while breakfast was a letdown by comparison. The location worked well for getting around, with easy access to the docks and Liverpool ONE. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and nicely presented. On the second day, the floors were quite dirty and hadn’t been cleaned, but staff sorted it after I asked. I had a really good stay at the Maldron Hotel, though there are a few things they could improve.

A modern, very clean hotel in a great spot. It’s about two minutes across the road to the Albert Dock and a five-minute walk to the high street, with everything close by. The service was great, too; staff even knock to ask if you need anything. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in plenty. I’ll definitely come back.

The buffet breakfast had loads of hot and cold choices, and the breakfast team kept the tables cleared and clean. Staff I dealt with were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was quiet, with a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep, and it had plenty of sockets, water, and tea and coffee. The shower was excellent, with overhead and handheld sprays and gels provided. The room was spacious and clean, with modern fittings. The hotel is well placed for central Liverpool, just minutes from Albert Dock, the Liver Building and Museum of Liverpool. A clean, modern, good-value choice for a Liverpool break. Recommended.

I stayed here for work and it was more comfortable than I expected from a 4-star hotel. The room was quiet and clean, with cosy warm colours, a modern finish and simple but stylish decor. There were plenty of sockets by the bed, the lighting was good, and the beds and linens were comfortable and good quality. It felt like somewhere I could unwind after a long day, rather than a corporate room. The bathroom was spotless and well maintained, with a spacious walk-in shower, strong water pressure and good toiletries. I’d happily stay again. It’s a solid 4-star option for business or a short trip when you want comfort, cleanliness and a calm atmosphere.
