Paul was welcoming and gave us helpful advice about things to see locally. Parking was easy and free on the many side streets around the hotel, and Liverpool was only a 15-minute taxi ride away. It's a small, comfortable hotel and great value for money. There's no breakfast, but we brought our own and Paul was happy for us to eat in the room. If football is what you're after, Paul can now get tickets as well as accommodation.

Paul, the owner, gave us a brilliant welcome and was lovely and helpful. The room was exceptional. It's a great spot, with places to eat nearby, an easy walk to Anfield and a bus ride into the city centre.

Paul runs a perfect hotel and is friendly, willing to help with anything. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, peaceful and immaculately maintained. Food and drink options for all tastes are right nearby, and it's well placed for visiting both the city and the football. I'd highly recommend it.

I stay in hotels often for work, but this trip was a little family break. The owner gave us a lovely welcome and explained everything we needed to know. The room was exceptional, with nothing I could fault. Great value for money, a real find.
