The room itself was basic, with a TV but no wardrobe space for hanging clothes. Still, it suited me and my son for one night. The beds were clean and comfortable, and we slept well. The wooden floors meant we could hear other guests moving around, and it got noisy at times, though that wasn’t the hosts’ fault. The location is great for football, and there’s a bus stop almost outside. The No.17 goes straight to Liverpool Lime Street station, with plenty of buses into town too. Our ensuite room had no reception, but we got the key lock box code on the day. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and available when we arrived.

Brilliant stay all round, with lovely rooms and staff. Big thanks to the hosts, who were great with the kids, and thanks for the pizza 🍕 😋. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it.

We booked three rooms at the Kop View for the night before our Anfield stadium tour, after travelling up from London. James was especially helpful when we arrived and kept us well informed beforehand. The rooms were basic but did what we needed, and having access to a shared kitchen was a bonus. The location was excellent, and the stay was easy and smooth. Highly recommend, and we’ll book again. Thank you, Kop View.

I can’t recommend this place. I stayed twice, and both times we were left outside without access to a room we had paid for. The communication and basic customer service were shocking, and I’d advise other guests to be cautious. The first visit was booked through Booking.com. I arrived with my wife and young daughter after agreeing that the key would be in the outside lockbox. The box wouldn’t open. I called and messaged Michael several times on WhatsApp, through Booking.com, and by phone, but heard nothing for over two hours while we stood in the rain with heavy luggage and a tired child. When he finally replied, the passcode he’d sent was wrong. He apologized a lot, we got into the room, and I decided to forgive the mistake. I didn’t leave a bad review then because I understood these things can happen. A few months later, I came with my brother. Again, we’d arranged to collect the key from the lockbox. This time the code worked, but the box was empty. Michael again ignored our calls and messages. We waited outside in the cold rain for more than three hours, then gave up and looked for another hotel. There was a big Liverpool match that night, so everywhere was full except for a room costing four times as much. After a long day of travel, we had no choice but to take it. Michael replied the next day with more apologies and promised to refund the lost night. He asked me not to leave a bad review, and I agreed to wait. More than 10 months later, I still haven’t received the refund, and my messages are now ignored. The location is excellent, right in front of Anfield, and the room itself was decent. But these were the two worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Leaving paying guests in the rain without a room, twice, is unacceptable.

We were left out on a cold night, and I was already feeling unwell. We’d arrived late to find no key in our locker, and with the self-service setup there was nobody we could reach for help. By chance, we ran into the people staying in our room. They said they’d been told to take it because they were also double-booked, after the owner gave their room to a friend. If you’re planning a trip to Anfield, book somewhere else.
