The shower had strong pressure and the temperature was easy to control, although the bathroom could use some work. The shower head was rusty, and there was a little rust on the ceiling, maybe because the en-suite used to have poor ventilation. For a one-night work stay, it was good value and met my expectations. I paid under £40 for a double room, even though I booked the same day. The hotel is about a ten-minute bus ride from the city centre. The website seems to leave out useful details, so I've included a photo with things like reception opening hours. I tried calling reception several times on the booking day to let them know I'd arrive late, but no one answered. When I told the receptionist, they didn't seem apologetic.

I checked in, then checked out a few minutes later, even though I've stayed in plenty of hostels. The shared toilet was a highlight, if you can call it that. The place looked awful outside, and reception was worse. I don't know what a throstle is, but I wouldn't let one nest here. Save yourself the experience and book one of the many decent hotels nearby. Don't be fooled by this place.

Cheap, with a great location, this is a good place to stay. It's just a two-minute bus ride into the city, and perfect if all you need is somewhere to sleep.

The location was great and the service was okay. But the room badly needs renovating and a thorough clean, especially the bathroom and shower. It was by far the dirtiest hotel bathroom I’ve ever come across.
