Travelodge Liverpool Stonedale Park

Just rubbish. I had to clean things myself, and there was only one staff member on site who was never at the desk. Tradesmen in vans kept slamming doors, even at 5am. The window seals have failed, so you can hear people three floors down. Don’t come here if you want any sleep.

The nearby food options were the best part of our two-night stay. There are lots of shops and places to eat, including MCD's, KFC, Nandos and Dominos. Q's kitchen was the standout for us, with a lovely English breakfast. The hotel’s breakfast in a box, on the other hand, isn’t worth bothering with. You have to collect it from reception, which was sometimes unmanned, so we had to wait. There’s a free hairdryer available from reception. The room was quite spacious but had nowhere for clothes except an open hanging area, no drawers or bedside furniture, and no fridge. The cleanliness was diabolical. The toilet roll holder was scruffy, the bath plug looked as if it had never been cleaned, and the extractor fan was full of dust. The double bed seemed to have no mattress cover and was stained. Management should check rooms daily to make sure they’re cleaned properly. We stayed in room 304, and this wasn’t what we expected after a recent stay at the Travelodge at Wembley Central.

The room looked modern and the location was good, but the bed was old and squeaked badly. I wouldn’t recommend room 308.

There are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The shop across the road has Starbucks next to it, and there’s a breakfast place and Dominos beside the hotel. The bathroom was amazing, though I found the bath and shower controls confusing. I thought I’d turned on the bath and got a full head of boiling water instead. The room itself was amazing too. The beds are a bit hard but comfortable. There are no knives, forks or spoons, just two mugs and two teaspoons, so I’d bring your own.
