Mercure Livingston Hotel

The rooms need a refit, but the hotel is good and the downstairs area is great. I’m told they host all sorts of functions, including weddings, christenings, and funerals. I hadn’t known about coming out parties, or gender affirmation parties, before. The helpful, kind young man told me about them, and I was pleasantly surprised that the venue must be inclusive of diversity for functions. I spent years at Glasgow university and still hadn’t heard of such a thing.

The restaurant staff have been very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Olivia and Joy in particular have gone above and beyond to make it enjoyable. The receptionist who checked me in on Monday 2nd March 2026 was efficient, helpful, and polite, though I can’t remember her name.

The price was great, and the staff were friendly and professional. Our room was clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Annie looked after us so well, working hard and doing everything she could to help my wife and me feel at home. She deserves a raise! The outlet is an easy five-minute walk away. The internet wasn't great, though I heard it should be fixed soon.

We spent four days here over Christmas 🎄 and loved the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of options and tasted really good. Annie was polite, always smiling, and happy to help with everything. The service was perfect.
