Stepping Stones, Pwllheli

It's a sweet house in a gorgeous area, but we were hugely disappointed by the state of the property. It was filthy, with dirt built up from what seemed like a long time without a proper clean. There was dust, grime and hair on every floor and under the beds. Storing cases underneath meant they came out covered in hairy dust. Spider webs were everywhere, and the shower curtain was stained and slimy. The new kitchen was pleasant and well stocked, and the gas fire quickly warmed the living room. The night storage heaters were awful, though, and the bedrooms felt cold and damp. The mattresses were terrible, especially the double, where we could feel the boards beneath us. If you have dogs, they need to go out through the back bedroom doors, which isn't nice for whoever sleeps in that room each morning. The fence was down and leaning against the house, so getting wet, muddy dogs around the side was impossible and dangerous. The owners were told. Their son arrived while out walking the dog but never came back, and the area could at least have been made safe. Others have raised the same issues, but it seems the owner hasn't dealt with them. The toilet seat also slipped, something mentioned in previous reviews. It feels like the property has been left unattended for some time.

A lovely beach cottage in a great spot, just a 5 minute walk from Llanbedrog beach. Highly recommended!
