We’re already planning to return to Graig Las in The Barn. It’s become one of our favourite places, and we’re missing it now we’re home after a week there. Set at the foot of the Berwyn mountains, it has incredible views and a small waterfall a short walk away. The only sounds we heard were birds treating and sheep bleating. The hot tub is an optional extra and was a godsend after a day of sightseeing. It developed a fault while we were there, but one of our hosts was able to fix it easily. Thanks, Marie and Craig, for such an enjoyable stay.

Our seven-year-old had such an amazing time that he says he wants to move here when he grows up! The cottage is lovely, with incredible views and lots of local walks, and we had the best week. Wonderful hosts too. Highly recommended xx

A spotless cottage in the deep North Wales countryside, and an excellent base for exploring. Greg and Marie were excellent hosts, really helpful too.

The walks and natural surroundings make Graig Las The Stables especially good for anyone with a dog. My wife, our spaniel and I think it’s probably the best holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in. The cottage is beautiful, has every amenity you could wish for, and the view from it is spectacular. We’re sad to be heading home and can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for letting us share your beautiful home.

The drive in takes a bit of getting used to, first a winding single country lane with passing places, then a single track up to Graig Las. But I’d definitely stay in The Stables again and recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere in the area. The scenery is wow, with a waterfall about a 30-minute intermediate walk away, lots of wildlife including Red Kites and Owls, and plenty of farm animals. It’s well placed for Bala, Lake Vyrnwy, Rhiwagor Waterfall, Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall and other spots. The Stables was clean, cosy and had everything I needed for a week away. The internet was exceptionally good for such a rural area. Though it’s self-catering, they provide a little milk, tea and sugar. There’s also a small secure garden where your dog can wander.
