Pale Hall Hotel

We visited Pale Hall for afternoon tea today, a year after mum passed away. The staff were kind and attentive, and gave us a lovely bouquet of flowers and a handwritten card. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Diolch yn fawr.

A five-star luxury stay in a superb period property, with exceptional staff and exquisite dining. There’s artwork throughout the extensive landscaped gardens, and you can also opt for a Chauffeured Rolls Royce Tour of North Wales.

The Christmas setting was a highlight, with a glowing fireplace, lovely decorations and a room full of atmosphere. For my mum’s birthday, the attentive staff got the service right, with good timing, tea poured neatly and plates laid out without rushing us. The food tasted nice, but the sandwiches and cakes felt rather lonely on the plates. A few more portions would have made it close to perfect. It was a great place for a special day, and the service was the best part. This is meant with love, since we had such a good time, but please give those cakes some company next time.

The flat white was perfect, and I’ll definitely come back for more coffee. I’ve just moved to the area and came across Pale Hall while driving around. The gardens, views and architecture impressed me as soon as I drove up, and the entrance is simply stunning. A friendly staff member welcomed me, told me about the hotel’s history, and I asked if I could have a coffee and look around. Inside, I was blown away by the rooms and their outstanding design. On a cold day, the fireplace felt so inviting. I could imagine buying the hotel if it ever came up for sale. I’ll come back for coffee, book a table, and maybe stay overnight. It’s breathtaking, and the staff are very friendly too.
