The campsite is a lovely little family-run place, and the owners are so welcoming and friendly. They know the area well, too. We really enjoyed the locally sourced breakfast hampers, which were beautifully put together and delicious, and the wood-fired pizzas were a treat, especially delivered right to our campervan. The showers and toilets were immaculate, with hot water and no coins needed. We’d absolutely recommend it. Thank you!

We sometimes just come here for a fun camping trip, and we definitely recommend it. The small Shepherd’s hut was lovely, with its own little fire and a hammock among the trees. The bed is raised, but there’s a stool underneath to help you climb up.

The couple who run the site are so friendly and helpful, and really do all they can for you. It’s a small, family-friendly campsite, just what we wanted, with clean facilities and plenty of hot water. We loved the little shop for snacks and a cheeky coffee, and we’re already planning to book again in summer.

Alan was lovely and really helpful. He chatted with us about local restaurants, pubs and places to visit, which we appreciated. We didn’t get to meet Rachel, sadly. Our three nights in the “Romantic Shepherds Hut” were pretty much perfect. It had running hot and cold water, a mini fridge, cupboards and clothing hooks, plus a spacious, comfortable bed. It warmed up quickly when it was cold, and there was an electric fan for warmer weather. There’s a TV with Freeview-type channels and WiFi for signing into apps like Netflix or Disney+ if you want. The hot tub is quite large and easy to light, though it takes a while to heat. I’d ask for it to be lit in advance if you want to use it right after arriving or after a day out. The site was well maintained, clean and spacious, with the amenities we needed: toilets, showers, a washing machine and a recycling area. They were all tidy and hygienic. There’s also a small shop with snacks, drinks, milk, tea, coffee and general trinkets. Booking directly through the website was easy. For the quality of the stay and the campsite’s location near places of interest, I thought it was excellent value.

The breakfast hamper was incredible, with top-quality food, coffee, Welsh cakes, juice and little extras. The facilities were outstanding for a campsite, especially the constantly cleaned showers and toilets. The hosts were so kind and friendly, and knew the answer to anything we asked. The whole place was impressively clean, even with quick turnarounds. We spent a week here as a family of four in the stunning Shepherds hut. It was perhaps a little small for us, though that’s on us, not the place. A storage box would have helped, and on hot days a fan and a fly net or catcher in the hut might be useful. Still, the location is beautiful and close to local attractions. The children made lovely memories around the fire pit and hot tub, as well as using the barbecue facilities. It was a fabulous experience, and we’d highly recommend it.
