We found a good online half-board deal at the Dunoon Hotel, which worked out as a great base for our weekend exploring Llandudno. The rooms look a little dated, but they're clean and have the basics. We were out and about most of the time anyway. It was nice to start the day with a cooked breakfast, and dinner was just right after a long day. Thanks for the lovely memories.

The refurbishment has been done really well, keeping the hotel's old world charm while bringing in clean, modern lines and finishes. Breakfast was just right to get us going, and the location and friendly staff were lovely. We got a free space right outside; there's also a hotel parking lot at the back if those spots are taken. We'll be back.

After a bus tour ended here, I added a few extra days at the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff were brilliantly friendly. The building balances modern amenities with keeping as much of its original historic character as possible. The location is handy for the Tramway and both the North and South Shore beaches. The Palladium Central bus stop is a few metres away, and there's a Wetherspoons Pub in the old historic theatre there too.

The quick service and nicely presented, perfectly acceptable food made for a very pleasant evening meal. We were there as guests of a couple staying at the Hotel. Its traditional furnishings and character suited me, as I'm at home surrounded by antiques. Staff were respectful and helpful, and despite the upmarket appearance, the place felt relaxed. We'll be sure to return someday.
