Cambrian House

We had a room on the top floor, and it was brilliant. The bed was comfy, the room was warm, and everything smelled nice. The shower had great pressure and was very warm, which we appreciated in the cold weather. There was plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and other bits available on request, and breakfast was always lovely, with other choices if you wanted them. The rooms are well cared for and still have the charm they’ve had since they were built. Cath and the team make the place feel special, too. They’re so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is handy, and even after checkout we could leave the car in our space for the rest of the day, so we had more time to enjoy the town and travel home at our own pace. One floorboard was noisy, but that’s a tiny thing and maybe I’m just being picky. I’d definitely stay here again.

I spent a night here while walking Offa's Dyke path, and the room was clean, cool and great. During the heatwave, Cath kindly put together a breakfast bag so I could set off early while it was still relatively cool. Much appreciated.

Cath is a friendly, funny host who makes you feel welcome. The location is fantastic.

We stayed at the Cambrian for the first time in February 26 for my birthday, and everything was excellent from the moment we arrived until we left. Cath was a wonderful host. The search says to book direct for better prices, so we’ll do that next time. Highly recommended.
