Lower Vestry

Llangrannog was lovely, and the location was perfect for our week away. We also paid a reasonable price by staying just before the school holidays. The house worked less well for our family group of eight: two grandparents, two parents, three grown-up children in their 30s, and one teenager. Two bedrooms had tiny twin beds that really only suited children, so I don't think it should be advertised for eight adults. The shared living space was too small for eight as well, six at most, and a couple of us ended up watching TV from the dinner table. The decor and upkeep were okay, but I wouldn't call it luxurious. The twin beds were part of that, and the upstairs bathroom needed work, with damp and mould in places. There was also a small leak that had discoloured the kitchen ceiling paint. We weren't a particularly loud, intergenerational family group, but the people downstairs complained about noise a couple of times. We tried to keep things quiet within reason, though we didn't want to spend the evenings sitting silently and completely still. A decent stay, but the place could use some attention in the off-season. I wouldn't choose it for a group bigger than six or if you expect to make any noise.
