The Stables

The hot tub and games room were brilliant for all 16 of us on our long weekend at the stables. The house is wonderful, just as beautiful as the pictures, and the views are amazing. Knighton, the local village, is only a short drive away. Such a beautiful area and a lovely house. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area, hopefully in summer so we can enjoy the long evenings and get the BBQ going. We’d come away to celebrate my wife and her twin sister’s birthdays, and Louise decorated the lodge for us. It looked amazing and saved us a lot of time and trouble. There were 13 of us. The beautiful lodge and cottage were warm and clean when we arrived, and the welcome hamper was a treat after the long drive. The lemon cake was delicious. The bedrooms were large and airy, and the clean, modern bathrooms and showers included a huge bath. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a big group. The living area was larger than expected, which gave us plenty of room to relax with drinks in the evenings and dance. Outside, there was lots of grass for the kids, and after a long day out we enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub with a cold whiskey while watching the horses in the next field. The games room kept us busy with pool, air hockey, darts, table football and a retro Pacman machine the kids loved. The local village flooded while we were staying, leaving half our family stranded. Louise was brilliant, offered help and let us extend by a night so we could retrieve the cars the next day. We couldn’t have asked for more. People in the community went above and beyond, opening the community centre with hot food and drinks, and helping us rescue the cars. It’s a beautiful part of the world, with amazing people. For transport, I highly recommend Owens Motors for large groups, but book ahead. Dai was lovely and took us to dinner one night. When the floods hit, the owner rescued half our family, putting himself and his vehicle at risk to get them home safely. Thank you for a memorable, amazing stay.

The house was preheated before we arrived, and from the communication and welcome pack to the views, everything made for a fantastic weekend for my sister’s hen party. There were 12 of us, and we loved the stunning house, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, hot tub and games room. Louise, thank you. I’d highly recommend staying here, and the balloon arch was a great addition.

A lovely, secluded getaway for a large family group. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable, and the hot tub and games room were great extras. Would highly recommend.
