The pool was fine, and we chose Penrhos Park partly for the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Getting the jacuzzi going meant paying £1 for 9 minutes, which we already knew about. The frustrating part was that people, often families with children, kept sitting in it while it was switched off, even though the sign said it should only be used when running. Nobody from staff checked or reminded them. After we paid and got a brief turn, other people joined straight away without asking. Breakfast was good earlier in our few-night stay, when we could choose proper coffee. On the last morning there was only a thermos of instant coffee, and it was so bad we left it unfinished. Towels had also been changed regularly until the last day, when they weren’t replaced. Still, the place was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and polite. It’s a shame that a bit of attention to the jacuzzi and keeping breakfast consistent could have made an otherwise nice stay better.

We didn’t get to play golf this time, but now that we know about Penrhos, I’d like to come back for a round. We stopped there after travelling from Penrhyn back to Portsmouth, following Google’s suggestion, and it turned out to be amazing. The clubhouse was stunning, the food was great, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. Our room was big, clean, and spacious, with all the amenities we needed. Had a great Nigg sleep.

The park itself was stunning, and everyone working there was friendly. We had a great week in a superb pet friendly log cabin, with very good onsite facilities. Couldn’t have asked for more, and we’d definitely stay again.

We went over for dinner and to watch the football after the owner of a local CAMC (Tyr-Wennol), site pointed my son their way yesterday. The food was great, and there were plenty of televisions to watch the match. I’d really recommend it.

The Wi-fi in our room (Beach, 10) kept dropping out and was poor, though that was only a small inconvenience during such a lovely stay. It was our second visit this year, and another great one. The restaurant and bar staff were great, the food was very good, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Thank you.
