It’s a lovely spot for a reset weekend, especially if you enjoy walking. The Pembrokeshire way is right there, and from the room we could watch the boats pass by from the window seat. The bed was comfortable after a day in the sea air, and there was a guest lounge upstairs with a couple of sofas and books. Tea and coffee were always available in the extra room. We had a fabulous Sunday lunch for £16, which was such good value. The beer and wine selection was good and reasonably priced, and breakfast was delicious, with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, orange juice, a full Welsh breakfast and plenty of other choices. The staff were warm, thoughtful and attentive, and really wanted to make sure everything suited us. We had a great time and hope to come back soon. Would recommend.

We were on holiday in the area and really enjoyed the food. The staff were very welcoming too. Sadly, some locals outside had a go at my wife and daughter, then told us to go back where we came from. That’s no reflection on the pub, but it was a real shame.

The owners and staff were so friendly, and the service was excellent. James was especially accommodating, and I enjoyed chatting with him. We also had a very nice breakfast made with top quality ingredients. It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed. The location is stunning, the history is interesting, and our room was very comfortable with an amazing view. We had a lovely evening there, with excellent food and drinks.

The outside area is nice, and the owners were nice too. But some of the other staff need a customer service course. I saw them put a customer off making a booking for nine over Christmas. It was shocking how they handled it, rude and off putting. Word of mouth matters, and people who hear about that experience aren’t going to become customers. I haven’t tried the food yet, so I’ll see if things improve. And there was no community opening over Christmas 🎄. Where was it? Bring back a pub with traditional values and heart ♥️. I live in hope.

We only went for an evening meal, but the pub was lovely, with a great location and beautiful views. The food was brilliant and the portions were huge. Service was excellent too, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
