Pantyrathro International Hostel

We had a great stay with our four small children. They loved the well equipped play area and lovely picnic spot, especially the hidden fairy garden. They've made a real effort for kids. The bar and restaurant have a lovely Mexican theme, and the staff were so nice. I called because I couldn't work the cooker, my fault, and a lady came to help in less than three minutes. The place is well maintained, and the bungalows are beautiful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I was walking the Wales Coast Path, and this was basic but a decent place to stop. Ken let me in after hours so I could rest my sore feet. Hostels seem to cater more for groups and people travelling by car these days, rather than walkers, but that's how things have changed. We ate at the bar, which was okay but not great. Ken kindly put on breakfast for a group and charged a reasonable price. It was basic, but very good. Our first room smelled a bit mouldy, so I asked for another one for the second night and Ken accommodated me. If you're not expecting five star accommodation or paying for it, you'll be okay here. Just keep your expectations in check.

We needed somewhere to sleep after a wedding at Mansion House just across the road, so the hostel was convenient. The owner gave us a warm welcome. We were up and out early, so I can't comment on the food. It looks like a good place for walkers and group activities. Now that we know it's here, we'll probably come back.

I knew from the reviews that this is a hostel, not a Hilton. It has a warm hearted owner, clean rooms and shared living room and kitchen, all in a lovely setting. I loved staying here.
