Holiday Home Llety y Coed

We were lucky with the weather, and the hot tub was amazing with that beautiful view. The cottage is lovely, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made our stay wonderful. We'll definitely go back.

We stayed over Christmas, and the kitchen was a good size and stocked with what we needed to cook big meals. There were eight of us from two families, and we had enough room to avoid feeling on top of each other. The mince pies and milk for tea on arrival were a thoughtful touch, and we made loads of use of the hot tub. The scenery was fabulous, and I imagine it must be stunning in summer. The property was very clean, with spacious bathrooms, and most of the bedrooms were excellent. The smallest bedroom on the second floor felt cramped for two adults staying more than a week. We really enjoyed our stay and would return. There are lovely walks nearby, and plenty of room to relax if walking isn't your thing. We did find the place a little cluttered. With eight of us and all our things, we needed storage and surface space, but ornaments sometimes took up room, especially in the kitchen. It would be nice to have a few kitchen cupboards left empty for guests. We also found the TV and living room layout a bit antisocial. We moved the sofas into a U shape, which made it easier for everyone to watch TV and sit together. For future visits, some of the older sofas could be removed and the newer ones arranged more sociably.

The cottages were beautifully presented, renovated to a very high standard, and those exposed beams were a lovely feature. After usually taking city breaks, I found a few days in this rural spot a refreshing change. Llety Llanwrtyd had everything we needed, from cutlery and appliances to games, and there were breathtaking views to wake up to. We also enjoyed the hot tub outside near the larger cottage while taking in the scenery. A couple of days into our stay, the neighbour behind lit a rather large bonfire. The smoke was heavy, so we had to close all the windows, and the hot tub was in its direct path and couldn't be used. More of an advisory than a complaint, but worth mentioning. We had a fantastic stay aside from that and would definitely consider returning.

We spent a memorable few days here with our family of 11. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully presented and spacious enough for a large group. It's in beautiful surroundings, and I'd highly recommend it.
