Hendy Cottage Pwllheli

We spent a long weekend in this fabulous, quirky cottage and didn't want to leave. It's really well equipped, the location is beautiful, and the two enclosed gardens were just right for our dogs. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Keep in mind that the cottage is isolated and the roads to it are very narrow. The garden is lovely in its natural state and fits the surroundings. Inside, it's a snug little place, and the unusual way the rooms are used gives it a unique feel. The downstairs bed was sooo comfortable. Best night's sleep ever.

The welcome pack was a lovely touch, with tea, coffee, sugar, Welsh cakes, milk and even a bottle of wine. The lounge has a cosy log burner, though there are heaters in every room. It felt like a real home from home, and the owners were right there if we needed them. We had a very relaxing weekend in this fab hideaway cottage. The facilities were great, with a proper farmhouse feel, plus Wi-Fi, Sky TV and DVDs. Would happily return. The visitors' book made it look like lots of previous guests had come back too. Well done, Dean and Sharon.

Costly for what you get and where it is. The ceilings are low, and I split my head open on them twice. You're very close to the neighbours, the garden was unkempt, and the shower setup was unusual. There's no washing machine.
