The gardens were lovely, and my toddler had such a good time with the chickens and all the space to roam. The cottage had everything we needed, with some thoughtful touches too. Gareth, Melanie and the girls were wonderful, so kind while we were there because of a family emergency. They made a difficult situation much easier. It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot in the countryside, and we’d love to stay again and recommend it to others.

We only booked one night and immediately wished we'd stayed longer. The gardens are lovely and dog-friendly, and the owners are so nice. Breakfast was fantastic. It was raining, so we couldn't sit outside with the dog, but the night was so peaceful and pitch black, with great skies for stargazing.

The room was lovely, with an ensuite bath, a great view and a little brook outside. The management were welcoming and attentive, and the full English breakfast was top notch. There’s no TV, but honestly, that added to the atmosphere and made it nice to chat with the other guests. It’s a beautiful, quiet place with just a small bar on site. Evening meals need to be booked ahead, and are only available for groups of six or more. Getting there is the tricky part: access is by a mostly single-lane main road, with a steep drop if you go off the road. I wouldn’t want to try it in snow or a bad storm. I’d definitely go again.

We loved every part of our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and clearly put a lot of effort into making guests comfortable. It’s a serene, charming cottage with beautiful hill views.

We stayed two nights, but felt so relaxed that it seemed like we’d been away much longer. The rooms were clean, tidy and nicely presented, with a comfortable bed. The owners and their dog gave us a warm welcome. It’s a beautiful place, and you start unwinding as soon as you arrive. I’d really recommend it if you’re visiting the Aberystwyth area.
