The owners were kind and flexible throughout my stay at Kinloch, the ground-floor serviced apartment. When I needed a separate place to rest and manage my energy, they moved one of the single beds into the living room. Their thoughtful communication made a difficult temporary move feel much more supportive. I was there while insurance work was being done in my flat, and my chronic illness and mobility limitations made access a major consideration. The apartment has two en-suite bedrooms, plenty of space, and parking just outside the front door. There’s a ramp at the entrance, which helps wheelchair users and people using wheeled aids. I asked for a disabled parking sign so the space would stay available, and the owners put up a temporary one. One thing to bear in mind is that the internal doors are quite heavy, which could make independent movement harder for some guests. The accessible bedroom’s bathroom door is light. I felt well supported here.

Carolyn and Les were great with communication and did everything they could for us. The two-bedroom Kinloch apartment was stunning, with tasteful decor and pretty much anything you could think of needing. Travel links were also really good, and the experience was fabulous value. We loved it, and would recommend it highly.

My only gripe is that there wasn’t another night available, I could happily have stayed longer. There’s a little park down the road for the children, shops nearby, and it takes around 15-20 minutes to get into central Edinburgh. The apartments themselves are spectacular, with loads of space, spotless rooms, plenty of parking, and fantastic owners.

We felt very welcome here. Carolyn was helpful and informative, and the location worked perfectly for our trip to the Edinburgh vet hospital. There’s also a well-stocked honesty bar with a great range of drinks. Our twin room was spacious, immaculately clean, and comfortable for me, my daughter, and our dog. The room’s tea and coffee selection was especially good, with herbal and fruit teas as well as cappuccino and hot chocolate sachets. Breakfast is help-yourself or grab-and-go, with a generous choice of really good-quality produce. I’d happily recommend the guesthouse.
