The hot tub wasn't ready until the next morning. When we could finally use it, it was dirty and the jets didn't work, so we sat in a hot bath with undeniably lovely views. We stayed only one night and used it for an hour the following morning before packing up and leaving. I contacted the owner a few times, but got a reply only as we were leaving, blaming the staff. Looking through the reviews, I saw this had happened a few times over the past eighteen months. The hot tub was a significant part of the booking and the reason we chose this overnight stay. When something goes wrong, how the business responds and tries to put it right matters, and that was sorely lacking here. Just be careful. After my earlier post and the owner's reply, I want to add that I contacted you directly and waited three days before reviewing. I was already at my next destination, where the hot tub was ready at 7pm, not 7am. Why didn't you mention in our earlier private correspondence the damage you now say we supposedly caused? We shared a bottle of prosecco while watching a fishing programme and were in bed at 10pm, as you'd expect of a man in his sixties. Posting things online after I initially contacted you privately feels absolutely underhand. Appalling customer service. Look at my reviews, I'm not a complainer.

The hot tub comes with magnificent views, and this is such a beautiful, scenic spot. It was cosy and clean, with lovely bedding and the nicest towels I've seen in ages. I'd definitely recommend it and return!

Sitting in the hot tub, looking over Lochinver harbour, Canisp and Suilvin mountains, and the clear, starry sky was so relaxing. We even caught a tiny glimpse of the northern lights. Although there are neighbouring lodges and cottages, this lovely little lodge on the Baddidarach shoreline felt secluded. It has a warm, inviting feel, a comfy bed, and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need and more. The host has thought of everything. The bathroom has a double shower, thick fluffy towels, and robes. This little gem is in a truly magical location and will always be a special memory. I was sad to leave and would love to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay in this great wee lodge. The hot tub was great, and although we didn't see the owners, we didn't need to. Trees blocked what could have been a stunning view, though. There isn't much storage, so it was okay for one night. A few things showed wear and could use a wee bit of TLC, including a broken shelf in the fridge door that needs adjusting, and shower seals blackened with mould. We came in our 7m motorhome and parking was quite difficult, but we managed. I hope this comes across as constructive criticism.

The hot tub was fun, at least, but I'll look elsewhere next time. There was no one to greet us or show us around, and the WiFi didn't work at all. The toilet seat was loose, the bathroom lock didn't work, and the mirror light was out. Even with the light on, the bathroom was pretty gloomy. The place wasn't spotlessly clean, and the fridge was completely empty. That's okay in itself, but on the same trip we stayed in a similar self-catering cabin that was better maintained, more welcoming, better located, and less expensive. The owners there had thoughtfully left a few fresh provisions in the fridge. A bit of consideration and hospitality goes a long way. I was unimpressed by how little effort these owners seemed to have put in.
