The staff are lovely, and the hotel is nice in a no-frills sort of way. The rooms are large, basic and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, but I’d suggest eating out in the evening. Dinner was okay, though at that price I expected more. I wasn’t looking for Gordon Ramsay, just something better than what tasted like it had been done by Chef Mike. A nice stay apart from the evening meal.

The staff were welcoming and really friendly, and the hotel is in a quiet spot, so I slept well. My room had all the amenities I needed. I was there overnight for work nearby, and the station was about a 10-15 minute walk away. The price was very reasonable, and breakfast was good and filling enough to see me through a long day and 7.5 hours of train travel. Highly recommend.

We needed somewhere at short notice late at night after car trouble, and the staff were great about fitting us in. The hotel was clean and very comfortable, and they welcomed our dogs too, which we really appreciated. They even gave the dogs a sausage. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re passing through.

We stopped here halfway to the Highlands with our dogs, and it was a lovely choice. It’s a beautiful building with traditional decor, and the room was clean, comfortable and very nice. Dinner was a treat, especially the ginger pudding, which was to die for. The staff were welcoming and gave great service. Move over, soulless chains. This hotel is a gem!

We spent a night here on our swc300 trip. The room had just been renovated and looked beautiful, and the staff were helpful and friendly the whole time. The food was excellent with generous portions, and the atmosphere felt relaxing and homely. A very enjoyable stay.
