Hi TFL, could you clean the moving handrail on the Warwick Avenue escalator? My hand comes away completely black. I didn’t realise and ruined my books, and I’ve got dirt on my clothes before important appointments. I pay you thousands of pounds a year to use the service. Should I send you the dry-cleaning bill for my clothes? Or should I just avoid the handrail, fall, and see what happens? Below is my hand after I’d cleaned it thoroughly with tissues and hand sanitiser.

I’m looking forward to visiting Warrick Avenue in May 2026. Duffy’s song of the same name features the station in its opening lyrics and video. She’s an excellent artist, such an amazing talent. I’m glad another reviewer spotted the connection. I can’t wait to see the historic taxi rank hut that’s still standing opposite. Photos to follow.
It’s good to have an underground station in this part of London. The area is beautiful and easy to get around, and the station itself is clean and bright with good service. The Bakerloo line stops here. There are lots of places to eat and get drinks nearby. The canal isn’t far, and I love walking along that side.
It’s a quiet station, and the staff are friendly. Everything was clean and very tidy. The Bakerloo line serves it, but there’s no disabled access. From street level to the ticket hall there are only stairs, then escalators down to the platforms.
I’ve used this station for 10 years, and closures are rare since it’s open nearly all the time. Trains normally come every 2 minutes and go to Harrow and into Central London. There are two escalators, one on each side for going up and down, plus a central staircase, and I’ve never had any issues with them. Staff are always present. There are three ticket machines and a little shop selling drinks and snacks. The downside is the steps at the entrance to the ticket area, and there’s no lift down to the platform.
