We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment on the fourth floor at 10 Curzon. It was clean, though dated, and overall I’d recommend it. There’s a king bed, two twins, a nicely sized living room, plus a small kitchen and bathroom. Good value, especially for the amount of space, and a great location in the heart of London. It worked well for a family. The main drawback is the lack of an elevator. We had to haul a lot of luggage up four flights of stairs, so check other properties if you need one.
I’ve been a repeat customer for several years, but the furniture is dated and the cleaning isn’t good enough. The worst incident was one evening when the security alarms went off and we were trapped inside for hours. There were no evacuation routes, the front door was locked, and all the windows were secured shut. No staff were on site while the alarm rang loudly. They said it was a false alarm, but if there had been a real fire, we could have been trapped and died. The building systems are dangerous. Afterward, they emailed me and acknowledged the issues, but I was worried for the rest of my stay in the apartment. With the other serious problems too, I won’t stay here again.
The Mayfair location is unbeatable for convenience, easily 10/10. But this aging apartment was nowhere near 4-star quality or worth £330 a night. If I’d known how run down it was, I’d gladly have paid more to stay elsewhere. Online photos hide the poor upkeep and all the little defects. We found pubic hair in the bath and on the floor when we arrived, and most of it was still there all week. The bathroom was in a terrible state: moldy grout and walls, cracked and loose tiles with missing grout, a cracked warped panel where tiles may once have been, and the worst silicone work we’ve ever seen. The bath wouldn’t hold water and drained slowly during a shower. The taps had a broken handle, and the shower curtain rail looked like a metal broomstick. Dirty cutlery and a microwave, grimy windows, marked walls, stained carpet, cobwebs, dust, and an opened coffee sachet left for me to throw out all showed how poorly it had been cleaned. The bed was two old single mattresses pushed together, both sagging in the middle, but firm and comfortable. The furniture had a charming look but was poorly maintained, with missing handles kept inside the drawer. Wardrobe doors wouldn’t close, and another wouldn’t stay open. The windows had rotten frames and broken seals falling off, and wouldn’t shut. There were no proper blackout blinds in the bedroom, and its windows wouldn’t open. You could hear other guests’ bodily functions through the floor. TV channels were unreliable, internet speed was only 0.31 - 1 Mbps, and nobody helped with our luggage. One door was propped open with a block of wood, and the apartment door needed a shove to open or close, which felt like a security risk. There was also an intermittent, deafening noise, perhaps from plumbing or machinery, loud enough that we had to raise our voices to talk. It wasn’t street noise. The staff were polite and promised to fix some things while we were out, but nothing changed. Looking at old reviews, this seems to have been going on since 2019. There’s a big difference between charmingly aged and neglected. This was neglected, tired, grubby, and noisy. The place has potential, but management seem to be relying on the location alone. Such a letdown, and not 4-star. If they’d made a real attempt to deal with the problems, I’d have given 2 or 3 stars. How a place handles issues matters, and 10 Curzon St by Mansley apparently didn’t bother. Did it ruin my stay? No. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend 10 Curzon St by Mansley? No.
The rooms felt luxurious and comfortable, with elegant design and good appointments. Service was attentive and friendly, and thoughtful personal touches made my visit memorable. The location on Curzon Street in Mayfair is excellent, right in the heart of London and convenient for shopping and dining. I had a fantastic stay at the Mansley. It’s a strong choice for either business or leisure if you want a refined stay in this upscale part of London.
The location was just right, with many of London’s top attractions only a short walk away. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, gave personal recommendations, and looked after me throughout. At 10 Curzon Street by Mansley, I found the serviced apartment spacious and beautifully decorated, with excellent amenities and careful attention to detail. I was really impressed by how comfortable and luxurious it felt. I’d highly recommend it for an unforgettable London stay.
