The people and the area were fine, but terrible property management ruined our experience. The outdoor area had shattered glass all over the ground, and there was rubbish and leaves in the hallway. Every time we left, we could smell illegal substances throughout the so-called reception area, apparently from the apartments upstairs. There wasn’t really a reception at all, despite it being listed, and everyone works remotely, so getting help was difficult. When we first arrived, the property was in the condition shown in the photos, and they couldn’t find us a room. We had to find alternative accommodation. At 9pm, we were told we could move to unit 6 the next morning and that the team would make sure it was clean. It was in much the same state when we got there. Then we waited in the rain until lunchtime because the cleaners weren’t answering the phone. When the cleaner finally came, she didn’t clean the toilet or floor. We were exhausted and decided to put up with it. For the next 10 days, we tried to resolve things with the property contacts. They kept saying they were taking it seriously, but we only got to speak to a supervisor on day 9, after we kept calling and emailing for help. If you’re staying more than a couple of days, don’t expect fresh sheets, toilet paper, or a towel. Getting those things meant paying over £5 to wash them in a filthy laundry room. Please don’t stay here.
