We stayed five nights on our first trip to the UK, and getting here from Heathrow on the Underground was easy. The location made it simple to get around. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was fresh with a good variety. Only one morning there weren’t any seats, so we went somewhere else. A couple of nights we bought dinner and ate downstairs in the lounge on a comfortable couch, which worked well. The rooms were clean but small, with little space to hang clothes and no bar fridge. The bathrooms were also a bit small.

I had one of the best nights of sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. The room was a good size, spotless, and had lovely bedding and a nice bathroom. Nothing much to complain about, and I’d definitely stay here again. I came in with low expectations after reading some reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were welcoming. The reception isn’t a traditional desk, just a high table with a laptop, but the young woman there greeted me right away and introduced herself. A lovely hotel.

The room was a little small, but perfectly fine and very clean. It was also quiet, just as requested. Reception and breakfast staff were really good, and the breakfast was fresh. The team worked hard to keep it replenished. The location was very useful too. I’ll definitely go back.

We had a great three-day city break. Gloucester Road tube station and the 49 Bus are close by, as are the museums and parks. All the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Asmehct was lovely and made beautiful scrambled eggs for breakfast. I’d recommend the hotel for a city break.

The staff in both the dining room and at the front desk were very helpful and actually present, unlike chains that have replaced people with a robbie-the-robot check-in desk as a profit-increasing greed exercise. The location is handy, close to major attractions and just a short walk from Gloucester Road Tube, with quick connections around London. Science Museum, Natural History Museum, and Royal Albert Hall are also a short walk away. The hotel is good value, with decent rooms and a fine breakfast. We slept well every night in the comfy beds, and there was no noise from outside or nearby rooms. The bathroom was great, and we had no real issues with the room. I’d have liked more space for the money, more milk and tea or coffee, and more wardrobe space or coat hooks. Still, it’s definitely on my list to visit again.
