I only stayed one night, and it was a short one, but the place worked out fine. The bottom bunk was comfortable enough. I might have felt differently on the middle or top bunk. The beds and bathroom were clean, though the bathroom looked a bit worn from frequent use. It was nice to have a private bathroom even in a mixed room with 12 beds. Everyone was polite, and the breakfast was okay. I did arrive when all the plates were in use, and the toaster was broken, but that wasn’t really the staff’s fault. A group of us had separate bookings for a concert at the Troxy, about a ten minute walk away. We asked to be put together, and that worked out for quite a few of us, which was nice. The advertised lockers weren’t available because the place was so full. Reception did offer to store our valuables for free, though, so that helped.

I spent two weeks here and really enjoyed the getaway. The staff were helpful at any hour and made me feel comfortable. Breakfast was decent, and it stayed very quiet throughout the day. I also met lots of nice people, so I’d definitely come back if I get the chance.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and this was easily the nicest hostel I’ve stayed in. We rented a locker, but in the end didn’t feel we needed to use it for our belongings. You can buy forgotten toiletries or towels at the desk for cheap. The two downsides were the noise outside at night and expecting the breakfast you pay for to include hot bacon and eggs. I’d stay here again.

The communal area was spacious, clean, well equipped, and looked after. The room was clean and comfortable, just as described, and the staff were very friendly. The only issue was that the metal bed frames were a bit shaky, so it was hard to get to my bunk without disturbing other guests. For the price and location, I couldn’t fault the place.

The toilets were so dirty they couldn’t be used, and the rooms were too small to fit even two beds. They also got far too hot. The windows were tiny and wouldn’t open all the way, so they couldn’t air the rooms out. Touch a door handle and it could break apart, while the power sockets either had no electricity or came right off the wall. Just awful.
