Alhambra Hotel

Bruno, Syed, Sonia and everyone at the front desk were so kind and accommodating. They let me leave my heavy bags securely while I waited for my train later in the day. I originally booked the Alhambra hotel because it's close to King's Cross Station, but I'd definitely return. It turned out to be a cool, walkable area for food, drinks, sightseeing and people watching. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

I only stayed one night because I wanted to be near the train station for an early train the next day. The rooms are small, and I had to carry my suitcase up a flight of stairs, but the room was clean. The location right beside the station is great, and the price is good too. I'll stay here again on my next visit to London.

We had a booking problem through Capital One/Expedia, and our reservation was cancelled without us knowing. Bruno, one of the concierges, really came through. He found us one of their apartments for just £30 more and let us freshen up after a rough flight. My wife and I stayed this weekend and had an amazing experience, thanks to Bruno and the whole staff. It's also a great spot, a five-minute walk from King’s Cross and St. Pancras terminals. A great little option if you're coming from Europe or the North and won't be in London long. We absolutely plan to come back.

The location is the only thing this hotel has going for it. My first room was completely unclean, so I immediately asked for another. The staff offered no help. They made me walk up six flights of stairs to the new room, with no elevator and no assistance with my baggage. That room wasn't much better. Its window looked straight into a children's school, so there was no privacy, and they didn't provide drinking water. The bathroom was so tiny I could barely move or use it comfortably. One of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
