We had the slow roast lamb for two, and the portion was huge. It came on a beautifully engraved silver platter with all the trimmings, and the price seemed fair for that much food. The Bloody Mary was really good, though the mimosa let us down. We’d definitely return, especially for another roast.

A favourite of mine in Parsons Green. The British food is refined, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is friendly but still impeccable. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a birthday dinner, and the place was lively, fun and busy. The food was good and the drinks kept coming. Talia deserves a lot of credit for handling things so well, especially with what looked like a young team. The service was mostly spot on, and they gave us a free birthday cake, which everyone enjoyed. My burger was overcooked, probably because they were so busy, and the chicken salad was dry and average enough that we had it taken off the bill. The setup is a restaurant, pub and bar, with a smoking area at the front. I had a good time, but it didn’t feel perfect. For a London pub, four stars feels fair. Maybe on a quieter night it’d be a 4.5. Support local places, and thanks.

The first-floor room felt sterile, with classroom-style lighting, though the ground floor and outside area had a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, but people’s mains arrived with long gaps between them, and not every plate came out together. Staff were friendly, though they forgot a drink and brought the wrong cutlery, so some training would help. There’s strong competition nearby, so they need to raise their game.
