Being close to Kings Cross station made this a really handy base for London. It was a decent budget stay and I had no major problems. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and both the bedroom and bathroom had plenty of space. The shower was excellent. I did get woken early by noise from a large construction project nearby. Also, pack a hot water bottle or small fan heater, and be sure to check out on time because they are strict about it.

My 23-year-old daughter asked me to leave a review because she was so pleased with what she got for the price. She paid about £65 for a clean single room and felt safe there. The bathroom was clean too, and reception was staffed when she came back late at night or in the early hours. They also let her leave her bag the next day while she went out to explore for a few hours. The room had a good TV and was especially convenient for King's Cross.

The location was superb, with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby and plenty of places reachable on foot. From St Pancras / Kings Cross, there are different kinds of public transport too. Staff were friendly and there around the clock. I stayed four days and came back each day to a room that had been looked after, with tea, coffee and biscuits available. The room was very, very clean, and the bed and shower were comfortable and good. It was a bit smaller than a typical hotel room, but if you're out enjoying London most of the day, that doesn't matter much.

My daughter is 23 and asked me to write this because she doesn't usually do reviews, but thought her stay deserved a good one. For £65 a night she got a very clean room in a great central spot, and she could cancel late if her plans changed. She booked through Booking.com. Reception was staffed when she got back late at night, and though she heard some corridor noise, it wasn't too bad. At 4am she felt safe walking from King's Cross tube along a well-lit street with other people around. The next morning she walked around London, then took a Forest Bike back to the hotel. They let her leave her bag at reception while she was out.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the location worked perfectly for what we needed. The room was on the small side, with nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels, even hand towels. Breakfast was cramped for the number of guests. There wasn't room to sit together, and some people had to wait for others to finish before they could get a seat. We felt the price was too high.
