The shared bathroom setup was really uncomfortable. It took me ages to find the cottage because there were no signs, and even Google Maps didn’t help. I kept walking around and passing right in front of it. A small board at the gate would make the place much easier to recognize. I didn’t feel the four-star description matched what I found. It’s a quiet place to sleep at a medium price, though not especially cheap.

The place was average, but having to pay £60 into an account after booking, supposedly to cover any damage, was a hassle. They say it gets refunded seven days after you leave. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Sue made us feel at home straight away and was lovely. The house was comfortable, and she was able to fit us in at short notice.

A clean, tidy room in a house where people live. Excellent.
