Astor Victoria Hostel 18 to 39 years

The location is great, close to Victoria's station, where you can easily get the train from the airport. I stayed two nights, and it felt like a good balance between quality and price. The rooms and bathrooms are okay and have what you need, but don’t expect anything fancy. I wouldn’t pay extra for breakfast, as it wasn’t really much of a thing.

The twin room had two single beds and a nice, clean shower. It was a little noisy because the walls are thin, but that was expected, and we still slept well. We paid £45 pounds between the two of us for a private room in central London, which is hard to beat. There’s tea and coffee in the room, and the shared area is a nice spot to relax. The coded doors made it feel secure. We came for the West End and a visa appointment. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and the facilities were really good and clean considering how big the place is. There’s a bus stop right outside for Leicester Square and Trafalgar. Breakfast is £3.50, which is crazy cheap for London. We’ll be back, this has taken the top spot over our usual place. Thank you.

We felt really safe here as women, and the staff were incredible, welcoming us and offering loads of advice. Our room was clean and safe, just what you’d expect from a hostel. The bathrooms were small but had exactly what you need, and the rooms didn’t get cold at all. It was a great place for our group, really central for London’s famous sites. The coach station was a quick 15min walk and the nearest subway station was 10min away. We’d definitely come back.

The place itself and the facilities were great. It’s well connected by transport and not too far to walk into the centre. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and it was a great way to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds. My only wish is that they didn’t have a short term stay policy.
