AXO Camden seems to have been abandoned by the AXO company. There’s nobody at reception at any time. To check in, you have to go to AXO Islington first to get your key. My toilet doesn’t flush, but there’s nowhere to report maintenance. Nobody answers the phone, and reports on the portal get ignored. With no reception staff, the bin collection keeps being missed, and there’s now a mountain of rubbish in the bin storage area. The management is terrible😡

The staff are nice, the room is big, and I had a good experience living here.

I’ve been living at the AXO Camden accommodation for a second year, and the staff have always been courteous, responsive, and welcoming. Ethan, Milo, and Renton have been especially helpful and accommodating when I’ve made requests, and Renton is there to help with maintenance. The reception is open every day from 9 am to 6 pm, with someone available for needs and requests. It closes for a few minutes at lunch, but residents are told about that at check-in. The property is always clean, with no bad smell or rubbish disposal problems. The common room is cleaned thoroughly and kept sanitary. It’s centrally located, with bus stops and a tube station within walking distance. Anyone thinking of moving to AXO Camden in the near future should do it without a second thought.

The location is good, and the staff are nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The lights were broken, the mattress and pillows were the worst I’ve had, and I’m not picky about those things. The room wasn’t properly clean, with a dirty toilet, hair in the shower and even on the ceiling. My card only worked to open the building and room doors after about five attempts. Staff weren’t committed to helping and made me feel like I was being arrogant and picky just for complaining. They weren’t open to feedback that could improve the place.

It’s good value for money and in a safe, quiet area in zone 2. You can get anywhere in central London in 15-20 mins. The building is secure, with doors that need your room card. Reception is friendly and helpful, and my email questions are always answered within a couple of days.
