Berkley Aparthotel

I had a really pleasant stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well looked after, and the location was great. The staff were especially friendly and welcoming. There was also a friendly cat at the hotel, which made the place feel cozy and a little different. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

My small apartment was incredibly comfortable and had pretty much everything I needed: a microwave, ironing board, hairdryer and kitchen appliances. It was compact, but still very comfortable. The bathroom was a 10/10, with the towels sitting on the heated rail, already switched on. That was such a nice surprise after a shower. There was a big TV, plenty of plugs, a kettle and a fridge, and everything was very clean. Great value, and the location is perfect too. I’ll be back.

The location was the one good thing. The room smelled awful, and the bathroom looked as if someone had just used it, so we opened all the windows to air the place out. When we were shown in, the door had been left slightly open and was quickly shut before we could notice. There was no lock on the inside of the doors either. The next morning, while we were resting, someone came into the apartment without knocking or saying anything. We thought it might have been housekeeping, but we were too scared to go downstairs from the loft to find out. I would never recommend staying here, especially for a woman.

The resident cat makes the place feel like home, and I really appreciate having a kitchen instead of just the usual hotel room. I’ve stayed here a couple of times now. The rooms are cute and comfortable, and it’s handy for Old Street Station.
