Best Western London Ilford Hotel

It was easy to get around from here, with a metro station and several bus stops nearby. Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and shops are also within walking distance. The staff noticed the little details and were quick to help whenever we needed anything. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good selection. I really enjoyed the stay and would gladly recommend the hotel.

My room was decorated for my birthday, with complimentary cupcakes, juice, and a card with a lovely message inside. That was a really thoughtful surprise. We stayed for two nights, and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was nicely presented and regularly topped up, and the two ladies in the dining room were attentive and made sure everyone had what they needed. I’d definitely stay again.

We’d booked and fully paid for an executive room well in advance, but when the guest arrived, they were offered a different room. The duty staff didn’t offer compensation when we complained. The room also lacked several basic facilities I expected: no fridge, air conditioning, or ironing facilities. That made the stay less convenient and comfortable, especially in warmer weather or if you need to keep clothes presentable. I was disappointed that these standard things weren’t available.

This review is about professional standards and employment practices, not intended as a personal attack. Hotel staff are now spam reporting it. A member of staff intentionally and criminally damaged my laptop on the property, and the hotel has refused to replace or repair it. Staff have also lied to the police about CCTV footage. I’m also confirming that the hotel has a serious carpet mite infestation affecting the rooms.
